Wings

WINGS

 

I want to fly,

Give me wings,

Or make me a bird,

But let me fly.

 

To see through the sun,

Or ride my mystic colors.

Enjoy the earthy fun,

Life in all its flavors.

 

Give me lips,

To kiss the peaceful skies.

Let me be the pure rain,

To wash away all the lies

 

Give me heart of gold

To spread the joy.

Let me be a song

To be hummed ahoy!

 

Give me the healing touch

And lots of sweet rosemary.

The strength of mind so much,

To love all with no worry.

 

Make me a small sea-fish

To swim among great corals

Or give me a wish

To paint the lively murals.

 

This world needs peace.

Let me be the morning dew,

Shine in daylight,

And shimmer in moon-lit night.

 

I wish this world be a phoenix

To fly into the better future.

Forget the troughs,

And rise with crests.

 

O! Do not ever clip my wings,

Or let me lose my sails,

For I want to be a rudder,

And oar the hopes.

 

Let me fly
