These photos are part of Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge – Containers.
Containers of Bali (Indonesia) provide a glimpse into the local culture, faith and beliefs of the population and their daily life. Here I present few photos clicked in Bali, suitable to this week’s theme. Read more about Bali here.
And this is the more real side of Bali:

That’s the saddest part of the story. And all this happens in such a beautiful and enchanting place like Bali. Thank you for bringing this out to all of us. Really appreciate it.

The question is: Does this spoil Bali or does Tourism preserve Balinese culture? I think, both is right.

Yes you are right. But I feel it tarnishes the brand image of Bali more, in the long-term view. But I sincerely hope these become just aberrations in the long run and its pristine beaches remain unspoiled and untarnished.

You said it, Suyash, these containers “provide a glimpse into the local culture, faith and beliefs of the population and their daily life”…
Bali looks like an amazing place for photography, right?

O absolutely. You get everything here, from culture to nightlife, traditions, peaceful Balinese, nature and sea world, surfing, wildlife, Hindu temples with familiar Gods, and so much more. Its one of the most recommended places in our close vicinity, with visa-on-arrival and good connectivity for Indians. 🙂

Yes they are amazing people. It’s amazing that they are not getting sick of all the tourists, who are sometimes behaving really bad.

You have a very valid point. Its become a big touristy place. I guess its in the DNA of Balinese and they have conserved their culture with an indomitable spirit. 🙂

Yes certainly for us Australian. It’s close, it’s cheap, has a good climate and nice people. So we can only hope they never will lose their DNA.

Yes one can find so many Aussies in Bali…in fact, everywhere. For locals, tourism is one of the main source of income now and you guys contribute heavily to that. That makes good economic sense for both the stakeholders 🙂
