“Four days back, i had a job discussion which was satisfactory and i was fairly optimistic about it. My mind was still thinking about it till noon. I told my mind not to focus so much on today’s job discussion. So, what do I do? My room was almost full of bright sunlight coming by window. Sun still has two hours until night rolls in. Twilight is always a good hour to shoot colorful sky, I thought. I had a good day till now. Why not finish it grandly? I took a stroll around this pond to fix a good shooting point for my ‘mirror’. I shot many photos that dusk. But my pick is this photo with gradual fading colors. How do you find this shot? Your opinion is as usual paramount.”
Did you notice anything unusual in the above paragraph, except that it’s in quotes? Or do you want to read it again? Hmmm. May be, read between the words (or let’s say between alphabets) this time.
Got it? Great 🙂
I have tried something like this for the first time in my life – write a small paragraph without the supposedly omnipresent alphabet ‘E’ of the English language. It was quite a challenge but i really enjoyed it. And the credit for inviting me to this challenge “Allergic to E” goes to my blogging friend, Ramsey T @ramseytea, who loves to travel, cook and photograph. His blog, TheHutOwnerBlog, takes a peek into the life of various South East Asian cities through his photography. Read his ‘E-less’ paragraph here. Thank you dear.
If you want to try out this challenge, here are the rules: 1) Write a whole paragraph (a paragraph sounds easy right?) without any word containing the letter “e” (still easy for ya?). 2) By reading this you are already signed up. 3) Challenge at least five bloggers to do the challenge. They must do it within 24 hours or it is considered as failure (which happened with me as i was occupied with other important stuffs. After two days, when i had time, i decided to nail it down). 4) If you fail or pass, suffer in the Page of Lame. 5) If you win, wallow in the Page of Fame.
Though i invite these five bloggers for it as the rule says, you all are invited to attempt it.
1. Amrit – Èlan vital
2. J M Lysun
3. Zee – Life Confusions
4. Nirmala (Nimi Naren) – SimpleMomentsOfLife
You all – reading this post – are invited to participate in this challenge.
Let me know your thoughts on this challenge. Good Luck! And thanks a lot for reading my blog.
Wow…this is quite a challenging job 🙂
By the way, I have tagged you for another challenge – 3-day Quote Challenge. Hope you accept that. http://footlooseforever.com/2015/06/22/quote-challenge-day-3/

Hey Thanks Moon for throwing me this challenge. I will definitely participate in it. Though it may take some time for me to write blogs on the challenge.
BTW, do participate in the Allergic to E challenge also which I posted about. You have an open invitation for it. Would love to read your post on it 🙂

Thank you for the invitation. This would be real challenge and fun too… I’ll definitely try to post something meaningful without E 🙂 and looking forward to see your favorite quotes.

Absolutely. Favorite quotes – wow. It’s so difficult to list few of those though. But I will do it, for sure coz this is something close to my heart. Mind you, most of them will be from classics age of English literature 🙂

Beautiful post. It’s very interesting the way you have ingrained the message in this post, but without the help of E.
And thanks for all the kind words about my blog. Appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend 🙂

Eeeeeeeeek… I hope I have made up for those missing e for you. 😉
Come to think about it… if we keep getting rid of alphabets, English will be much easier to learn, and I may not have spelling problems anymore.
Love the photo, as always.

Hehehe….Helen, you made up perfectly…And thanks for your appreciation 🙂
I do agree that English may be much easier in that way…and for kids, it will be much simpler to learn language…As far as you are concerned, you have the freedom to make mistakes and still be let away with it, on a lighter note…;) 😉

It was a great piece! I didn’t realize it was an E-less paragraph. You have a great description of the outdoors loosing its daylight colors surrendering to the darkness of a younger night getting old. Thank you very much for advertising my Twitter account which I haven’t visited for long. That was a reminder in disguise. I’ll take a peek at my Twitter for a twit.
Beautifully done!

I am glad you enjoyed it dear. And thanks for your lovely words. I wanted to give an element of surprise in this post and that’s why began directly with the paragraph without mentioning it in the title also 😉
Have a great week ahead 🙂
